It's still early...
In other news, I have begun my Teach for America (TFA) Summer Institute experience as a faculty advisor (FA) at my school for new corps members (CMs), and I'm working with a corps member advisor (CMA) who was in my Houston '02 corps group.
If you haven't picked up the hint from the acronyms, TFA prides itself on being EXTREMELY efficient and goal oriented, and as a result everyone in the organization is expected to work three times as hard in half the time.
To which I say: Bring it!
Nevertheless, it's a big adjustment from my two week vacation of bed/couch leisure learning, where the biggest goals I set for myself were, "Today I will go to Hollywood Video and rent the 5th season of The Sopranos, and then I will watch the entire season in twenty four hours."
And in related news, I have resumed my morning coffee consumption.
Remind me to ask what was the 4th job/2nd rejection? I can only think of 3/1.
ReplyDeleteYes. I mean, Yes said no. I mean--oh nevermind. OH actually they did offer me a job... just not the job I wanted. Yes said yes! But really no. I'm changing that stat.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you should consider expanding your geographic range to Dallas or Austin. I think both are nicer than Houston. On the other hand, I'm a little prejudiced, for I have lived in Austin, live in Dallas, and have only visited Houston, which seemed to me at the time a vast snarl of congested roadways. (I hate sitting in traffic, and structure my life around avoiding doing so.)
