Remember when "plain" was a difficult order?

Girl in front of me at Wendy's wants Sprite: large, not medium; no mustard on her sandwich; must be in seperate bag. She is communicating this to her man friend by pulling on his elbow as he orders. He grits his teeth and asks for a small bag, please. She takes her large Sprite back to the counter and asks for a new one, no ice.

Staff are exceedingly patient.

  1. I can top that; at the local McDonalds here on Rhode Island Ave NE, I have witnessed the following orders:

McFish, three fish patties, no top bun, extra sauce IN BETWEEN THE PATTIES, NOT ON TOP.

Big Mac, but with another, third patty in the middle instead of the "extra bread. That ain't no meat."

Cheezeburger with three nuggets on top.

A special mixture of coke, blue powerade, hi-C, and (!?) diet coke.

And my favorite: The guy who wanted a McRib. Upon being told they no longer sold them, he ordered an Angus burger, hold everything, add BBQ sauce, add more BBQ sauce, and use the bun from the chicken sandwiches.
