Vicarious disappointment
The bachelorette totally blew last night. After two months of devoting myself to what I KNEW was an awful, terrible, carricature of a reality show (and that's not saying much), and yet catching it from the very beginning thereby committing to hang in there until the bitter end...
after all that, and the anger of "no! you sent home the WRONG guy!" and then ruefully accepting the two men she narrowed it down to... ("ok, i guess he's nice, and just *mostly* boring, not completely boring" vs. "he's sort of charming... too bad he can't answer any question with a straight answer")
after i had accepted Jerry and John Paul, and got emotionally invested in their proposals, and watched the garish "men spill all" special and the two hour finale PLUS the "after the final rose" special....
She turned them ALL down.
I'm boycotting television.
Maybe one of her friend's can pick up Jerry or John Paul since she has CLEARLY had her turn trying to find a husband on national television.

I said that I was boycotting television after Average Joe Hawaii. The bachelorette ended up picking the hot one over the average joe even after he (the hot one) told her he hoped to make it big in Hollywood through being on the dating show and even after committing all of these very obvious faux pas.
ReplyDeleteThen she had some big secret she was going to spill to the person she picked at the end and she was all nervous about it through the whole show. So she picks the hot one and they go on some honeymoon type thing together. After a couple of days she sits him down.
"Hot guy, I have to share something with you," she starts off. "There is something I've been keeping from you and I feel very terrible about it but I figure now is the time to share this information.... I dated Fabio."
After a moment of shocked silence, the hot guy blows up. "How could you do this to me????? Think of how I feel!! Just think of how I feel!!!" And then he dumps her. The end.
